Staying hydrated is essential for good health and can help you feel more energized and alert throughout the day. For most healthy adults, the recommendation is to drink 8 - 10 glasses (about 2 liters) of water per day.

The amount of water you need varies depending on a number of factors such as:
Physical activity level
Climate
Overall health
Pregnant or breastfeeding
For example, if you are physically active or live in a hot climate, you may need to drink more water to stay hydrated. If you have certain medical conditions such as kidney disease or heart failure, you may need to restrict your fluid intake.
Tips to ensure you are staying hydrated:
1. Pay attention to your thirst cues
2. Drink fluids regularly throughout the day:
Before, during and after exercise
With each meal and in between meals
3. Check the colour of your urine
Pale yellow/ clear indicates you are probably getting enough fluids
Dark yellow/ amber indicates you may need to drink more water
4. Keep a water bottle with you at all times
